May 23, 2007 — EEOC Gives Boost To Mothers And Other Family Caregivers – The EEOC took an important step toward ending discrimination against mothers and other family caregivers by issuing enforcement guidance that will educate employers and employees about caregivers’ rights and responsibilities.

November 16, 2006 — Legal Guide to Family Responsibilities Discrimination is Published — WorkLife Law’s Guide to Family Responsibilities Discrimination is the first treatise of its kind.  Published by the Center for WorkLife Law, the 160-page Guide provides a thorough overview of the federal and state laws that can be used to protect workers who have family caregiving obligations. 

October 13, 2006 — Opt Out” or Pushed Out? – The Untold Story of Why Women Leave the Workforce – A new study debunks the myths surrounding the opt out story, and details the ways in which women do not opt out—more often they are pushed out of their jobs by inflexible workplaces, failures of public policy, and outright workplace bias.

July 6, 2006 — Litigating the Maternal Wall — A new report published by the Center for WorkLife Law (WLL) at the University of California Hastings College of the Law, documents that sometimes parents face work/family stresses that, far from being run-of-the-mill schedule tangles, give rise to lawsuits alleging "family responsibilities discrimination" (FRD), and that lawsuits involving FRD are being filed at a brisk rate.
